Motorola Mobility has released a thicker version of the DROID RAZR, the new DROID RAZR MAXX. Though it’s thicker it boasts a larger battery that boosts its battery life up to 21 hours of talk time. On one full charge, users can enjoy up to 7 hours of Web browsing or up to 15 nonstop hours of movie marathon or spend two and half days straight listening to music.
DROID RAZR MAXX still possesses the same specs its twin brother has except that it is 8.99mm thick and has more battery life. Like the DROID RAZR, its body is protected by the tough DuPont Kevlar fiber, while protecting the screen from scratches is the Corning Gorilla Glass and for water protection it is coated with water-repellent nanoparticles.
DROID RAZR MAXX runs on Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread platform that can be upgraded to the latest ICS OS. With two cores clocked at 1.2 GHz and 1GB RAM, users can enjoy seamless multitasking combined with the 4G LTE network speed of up to 10 times the speed of 3G.
Like DROID RAZR, it is equipped with a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced display with qHD resolution, an 8-megapixel rear camera with 1080p HD video capture and image stabilization technology for crisp and clear videos and a front-facing HD camera for video chat over 4G LTE, 3G or Wi-Fi.
It also comes preloaded with the free MotoCast app that allows users to directly stream documents, pictures and music from their work and home computers. While the Smart Actions app helps automate everyday tasks and optimizes battery efficiency by letting users to create rules, such as automatically setting the phone to vibrate during work hours or dimming the display at a specific battery level. Users can collaborate in real time with GoToMeeting app and create and edit Microsoft Office files right on their phone, with Quickoffice.
