Motorola and Verizon have rocked the world with the introduction of the world’s thinnest smartphone, the DROID RAZR, now the two have joined ventures again with the release of another world’s thinnest, the new DROID 4; the world’s thinnest 4G LTE QWERTY smartphone offering power and capabilities to lever even the most demanding lifestyles.
DROID 4 is only 12.7 mm thin hiding a retractable five-row QWERTY keyboard with a PC-like layout and edge-lit keys for fast, precise typing, even in the dark. This is coupled with dual-core 1.2GHz processors, Android 2.3 Gingerbread (upgradeable to ICS), 1GB of RAM and the blazing speed (5-12 Mbps download and 2-5 Mbps) of Verizon’s 4G LTE network. It also houses a 4-inch qHD display with scratch and scrape resistant glass and an 8 MP camera packed in a body coated with water-repellent nanoparticles.
DROID 4 comes Business Ready with government-grade encryption (FIPS 140-2) for email, calendar and contacts while its preloaded MotoCast app allows for remote access to music, pictures and videos on home or work computers. It also comes with the Smart Actions app for automating everyday tasks and the innovative Citrix Receiver for Android for desktop virtualization and access.
