LG Optimus 3D Max

LG Optimus 3D Max

Building from the success of last year’s glasses-free 3D smartphone, LG is proud to unleash another ground-breaking handset complete with 3D entertainment platform; meet the new Optimus 3D Max which features powerful 3D technology combined with slimmer and lighter design, with improved power and performance.

Compared to its predecessor, the new Optimus 3D Max is capable of editing 3D videos and photos and comes a little thinner at 9.6mm versus the 11.9mm of Optimus 3D. It now runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread (planned to be upgraded to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich after the launch) with two cores humming at 1.2GHz and 1GB of RAM. It now comes with NFC (Near Field Communication) that supports LG Tag+ stickers that allow users to easily change their phone’s settings from car-mode, office-mode or sleep-mode with just a quick swipe. Optimus 3D Max also comes with improved 3G network speed of up to 21Mbps on HSPA+.

Optimus 3D Max comes equipped with an HD converter which allows users to enjoy HD quality on a TV connected through MHL (Mobile High-Definition Link) and transform Open GL-based 2D games and applications to 3D as well as viewing Google Earth, Google Maps and other road views in 3D.

Optimus 3D Max is equipped with a dual 5MP camera for capturing 2D and 3D images and videos. The camera is equipped with Out-focusing Shot to enhance camera quality beyond that of other smartphones through image processing using depth information. The depth information is gathered using the Range Finder which calculates the distance between the camera and the subject as well as the dimensions of an object through triangulation.
