Following the success of HTC Sensation XE, HTC has teamed up again with Beats in the release of the HTC Sensation XL with Beats Audio integration. Unlike its predecessor, Sensation XL comes with slimmer (9.9mm) design, enhanced HTC Sense experience and a bigger 4.7-inch Super LCD display taking mobile entertainment to a new level.
The HTC Sensation XL features unique lightweight urBeats headphones, designed solely to integrate with the Beats’ audio profile on the device. Its built-in microphone makes hands-free calling easy and the on-cable remote control allows users to pause, advance or rewind, and to answer a call mid-track.
Users can maximize their viewing and listening experience with the preinstalled HTC Watch app which allows users to stream their favorite TV shows and premium movies to their device without waiting for a huge file to finish downloading.
The HTC Sensation XL is equipped with an 8MP camera with f/2.2, 28mm wide-angle lens with BSI sensor for better low-light performance. While in video mode, the HTC Sensation XL enables users to record a high resolution video with spectacular stereo sound.
Like its predecessor it runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread (planned to be upgraded to v4.0 ICS) platform but features an improved HTC Sense 3.5 UI. It loses its card slot but gain more internal storage of 16 GB. One hurting downside of this handset is it loses one core, it now runs on a single-core 1.5GHz Scorpion processor with its RAM retains at 768 MB.
