HTC Amaze 4G along with Samsung Galaxy S II are the two smartphones to take advantage of T-Mobile’s faster 4G (HSPA+42) network which reaches an average download speed of 8Mbps with peak speed reaching 20Mbps. We’ve already introduced you to Samsung Galaxy S II so let’s talk more about the HTC Amaze 4G which features a super advanced rear-facing 8MP camera packed with remarkable features that will take smartphone photography entirely to the next level.
The HTC Amaze 4G is comes with an 8MP camera equipped with a backside illuminated sensor for improved low light performance, zero shutter lag, a dual LED flash and boasts five advanced digital camera features, including:
- SmartShot – captures five photos and creates the best shot using clear faces with smiles and no blinking
- Perfect Pics – separate album in the gallery created by scoring and filtering the best photos to the surface
- BurstShot – capture five consecutive shots with just one click
- SweepShot panorama – take ultrawide shots then sweep in any direction.
- ClearShot HDR – provides crystal clear detail even when shooting in mixed or direct light.
Aside from high quality photos, HTC Amaze 4G is also capable of capturing video with a full HD 1080p resolution which they can easily edit through the embedded video editor. These high resolution videos can be viewed with the Amaze’s vibrant 4.3-inch qHD super LCD multi-touch display combined with SRS surround sound. Users can instantly shift between capturing photos or videos with the two dedicated buttons for each function. A 2MP camera is also present at the front for video chat.
HTC Amaze 4G runs on Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread cloaked under HTC Sense UI with two cores clocked at 1.5GHz and 1GB of RAM. It comes preloaded with T-Mobile TV app, HTC Watch and other apps and services as well as access to thousands of contents from Android Market. It also supports NFC, DLNA, HDMI connectivity as well as the usual Bluetooth and Wi-Fi.
