Nielsen’s latest research on smartphone usage reveals that Facebook and Google’s multitude of home-brewed apps dominate application utilization across different age groups of Android users in the US.
Facebook ranking shown here portraits that the smartphone is really an extension of the social media extravaganza everyone is into. Nielsen’s data speaks for itself, showing how users from the age bracket 18-24 focus on entertainment, while later on their lives scraps Pandora Radio and prioritize QuickOffice. Still wondering how Angry Birds jumps from 22 to 29 percent, seems that game is gaining popularity to middle aged techies.
