Samsung Galaxy S II’s Ice Cream Sandwich Update Coming Soon

It looks like that everyone who’ve grabbed Sammy’s flagship smartphone Galaxy S II will have big smile upon reading this report, as the company has announced that the bestselling smartphone will get an upgrade to latest Android 4.0 or Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung UK’s Twitter account tweeted the good news: “Hi, good news – the Galaxy S II will be receiving ICS, but there are no dates confirmed as yet. We will keep you posted,”

SGS2’s users will be enjoying some major improvements featured on Android ICS which includes new launcher and app drawer, redesigned notification bar, improved widgets and better voice integration.

Major Android players earlier also announced their upcoming upgrades for Android 4.0. HTC pledge an upgrade for Ice Cream Sandwich for their upcoming smartphones along with Moto’s Droid Razr will be also upgradeable in early 2012.
