Sprint’s HTC EVO Shift 4G has been building a hype through a magnified leaked photos and videos on its way CES debut –though the Verizon iPhone have eaten most of limelight even Big Red’s event held after the electronics show. Getting back, the HTC EVO Shift 4G lives in the shadow of it predecessor the EVO, getting the usual feel and power. But there’s a “shift” here, know more after the break.

The EVO Shift 4G is a throws a bit smaller 3.6-inches screen however, it features a slider QWERTY-keyboard. We assumed that this is the main selling point of this new smartphone, if you’ve already experienced any HTC products that feat this kind of keyboard —-you should know how good it feels to type on them.

There’s no “shift” for early adapters here, if you’ve already used an EVO –software-wise. Running the back-end of this device were same 800MHz Scorpion processor found on HTC Desire Z and T-Mobile G2. There’s no problem running HTC Sense prior to Android 2.2. Lastly, there’s a hit on specs compared to EVO 4G, no front-facing camera, only one LED for flash, and it’s taken a hit from 8 megapixels down to 5MP.
